Workshop Agenda

The workshop is a 1.5 day immersion course on data visualization.

The first two workshops are foundational and build upon the research in the area. The last day is application and practice.

• Understand how data scales and ordering, if badly chosen, often leads to bad visualizations.
• Learn why and how to frame visualization hypotheses.
• Understand the science of perception and psychology of charting.
• Learn about how to validation and critique visualizations.
