SG60: Visualizing Singapore's 60 Years of Development (Baorong, Prudhvi)
This visual and data storytelling project chronicles the transformation of Singapore’s urban and socio-spatial landscape from 1965 to 2025.
Leveraging spatial analysis, and dynamic visualizations, the project explores three core themes: the evolution of HDB public housing, population structure and land use.
Children's mobility: How children in different cities travel to and from school (Cherie Lynn)
This project storytells the importance of children's independent mobility, how it has declined over the years, and how children across the globe travel to and from school now.
Landscape Practice for Biodiversity in Vertical Greenery (Junyao)
This project critically assesses whether vertical greenery in urban buildings achieves its intended biodiversity benefits.
Using the Wilmar Headquarters in Singapore as a case study, it compares predicted biodiversity scores based on design features with observed biodiversity indices collected from on-site surveys.
Traces: A Personal Exploration of Movement & Space (Irfan, Utkarsh)
An interactive dashboard that visualizes my activity data from my Strava (2020–2024), focusing on GPS-based heatmaps of frequent routes, performance metrics like pace and heart rate, and gear usage over time.
Potential visualisations would be heamaps and trend maps showing progression over time. Built with open-source tools, the project explores how personal fitness data can be used for self-reflection and urban exploration.
Unmasking Implicit Bias in LLMs (Bryan)
How do persona demographics influence LLM responses in social scenarios? In this project I will attempt to visualise demographic bias in LLMs using simulated social scenarios with 2 personas.
See how factors like age, race, and power dynamics affect response semantics and quality across 100 social situations.
Availability of services and facilities for seniors in Singapore (Karyl)
To understand the availability of different amenities for seniors in Singapore and if there is a relationship between the demographics (specifically age) and provision.
Sustainable Social Building Assistant (Peng Xi)
Net-zero carbon buildings are a global priority, but most management systems are made for experts and don’t support everyday users.
To bridge this gap, SUTD developed Sustainable Social Building Assistant, a tool combining sensors, real-time data, and gamified interfaces to help users understand energy use and adopt sustainable habits.
As part of this project, I created the Sensor Data Visualization Dashboard to support user awareness and engagement.
Meow Map Singapore (Weiyan, Shuyi)
Singapore is home to an estimated 50,000 stray cats—independent yet vulnerable lives that share our urban spaces. This project presents an interactive map visualising the distribution of these community cats across the island.
By capturing where they live and roam, we hope to foster greater understanding and appreciation of their presence in our neighbourhoods. To make this experience more engaging, we’ve used web scraping techniques to compile detailed profiles for each recorded cat—including their names, photos, gender, personalities, and even their unique likes and dislikes.
Through this visual and data-rich platform, we invite everyone to explore, connect with, and care for these small companions who quietly co-exist with us.
